Dhaka, May 28, 2025 : Under the slogan “Establishing the Political Rights of Youth,” a massive youth rally was held in front of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s (BNP) central office in Naya Paltan, Dhaka. Although the divisional youth rally, organized by BNP’s affiliate organizations—Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, and Chhatra Dal—was scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM on Wednesday (May 28), a huge crowd of party activists gathered well before the official start.
From early morning, activists from various districts of Dhaka, Sylhet, Mymensingh, and Faridpur divisions arrived in processions. As the day progressed, the Naya Paltan area transformed into a sea of people, with party flags, banners, and festoons in the hands of enthusiastic activists. Many energized the rally with songs, dances, and spirited slogans.
BNP’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, joined the event virtually from London as the chief guest and delivered a speech.
To maintain law and order, members of various law enforcement agencies were seen stationed around Naya Paltan and adjacent areas. To avoid traffic congestion, vehicle movement on both sides of Naya Paltan was temporarily halted.
The rally was organized by BNP’s three affiliate organizations—Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, and Chhatra Dal. According to the party, the primary objective of the rally was to convey a positive message addressing the concerns, aspirations, and political participation of the youth. Previously, similar seminars and rallies were held in Chattogram, Khulna, and Bogura.
