International | May 19, 2025 : Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the Israeli military will take complete control of the Gaza Strip. In a video message posted on Telegram, he stated, “The fighting is intensifying, and we are moving forward. Very soon, all of Gaza will be under our control.”
Meanwhile, the Israeli army has ordered residents of Khan Younis and surrounding areas in southern Gaza to evacuate immediately ahead of planned attacks. This follows the United States’ pressure on Israel to ease its blockade. After nearly 80 days of a stringent blockade, Israel permitted only nine aid trucks to enter Gaza, which is home to 2.4 million people.
Israeli far-right Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, opposing humanitarian aid, remarked, “Our hostages are receiving no assistance.” According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, 3,193 people have been killed since the operation began on March 18 this year, with the total death toll in the conflict surpassing 53,339.
