Dhaka, 28 May 2025 : A Dhaka court has granted an 8-day remand for top terrorist Subrata Bain and a 6-day remand for his three associates in a case filed under the Arms Act at Hatirjheel Police Station. On Wednesday (May 28, 2025), Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Zakir Hossain issued the order following a remand application by the case’s investigating officer, Sub-Inspector Riyad Ahmed of Hatirjheel Police Station.
The other accused are Abu Russel Masud alias Molla Masud, Arafat Ibne Nasir alias Shooter Arafat, and M A S Sharif. On Tuesday, around 5 AM, Subrata Bain, also known as Fateh Ali, and his close associate Molla Masud were arrested during a special operation by the Bangladesh Army in Kushtia district. Based on their information, two of Subrata’s associates, Shooter Arafat and Sharif, were later arrested from the Hatirjheel area of the capital. A case under the Arms Act was filed against them on Wednesday.
