Chandpur, May 4, 2025 – In a crackdown on non-compliant health facilities, two diagnostic centers in Hajiganj, Chandpur, were sealed, and five health centers were fined on Sunday, May 4, 2025. The operation, conducted by a mobile court led by Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rifat Jahan, took place in Hajiganj Bazar from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
According to sources from the mobile court, Suryer Alo Clinic and Al Fateha Diagnostic Center were sealed and fined BDT 50,000 each due to the absence of renewed licenses. Additionally, Ma General Hospital was fined BDT 5,000, Shahjahan Memorial & Trauma Center BDT 30,000, and Popular Hospital & Digital Diagnostic Center BDT 30,000 for poor management and unhygienic conditions.
Rifat Jahan, the Executive Magistrate, stated, “The mobile court was conducted to verify whether these facilities had valid licenses. They were penalized for mismanagement, unhygienic conditions, and failure to renew licenses. Such operations will continue to ensure compliance.”
