U.S. Imposes Permanent Ban on Entry for Visa Fraud: Launches Coordinated Interagency Initiative

Dhaka, May 19, 2025: The United States has launched a coordinated interagency initiative to combat visa fraud and curb illegal immigration. Individuals found guilty of visa fraud will face a permanent ban on entering the United States.

In a statement posted on its Facebook page on Monday (May 19), the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka outlined the country’s firm stance on preventing visa fraud and halting illegal immigration. The embassy’s message stated, “The U.S. government has launched a coordinated interagency effort to combat fraud and end illegal immigration. Those found guilty of visa fraud will face permanent bans from entering the United States.”
The new visa restriction policies will apply not only to individuals but also to foreign governments that facilitate illegal immigration. Through this initiative, the U.S. is committed to enforcing its immigration laws rigorously. The U.S. Embassy has previously warned that using fake documents or providing false information to obtain a visa is considered a serious crime, punishable by imprisonment, deportation, and a permanent loss of visa eligibility.
This initiative aims to reduce illegal immigration while strengthening transparency and security in the visa process.
