In a statement posted on its Facebook page on Monday (May 19), the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka outlined the country’s firm stance on preventing visa fraud and halting illegal immigration. The embassy’s message stated, “The U.S. government has launched a coordinated interagency effort to combat fraud and end illegal immigration. Those found guilty of visa fraud will face permanent bans from entering the United States.”
The new visa restriction policies will apply not only to individuals but also to foreign governments that facilitate illegal immigration. Through this initiative, the U.S. is committed to enforcing its immigration laws rigorously.
