369 Pilgrims Return to Bangladesh on First Hajj Return Flight

 

Dhaka, 10 June, 2025 : The sacred Hajj of 2025 has concluded, and devout Muslims have begun returning to Bangladesh. On Tuesday (June 10), the first return Hajj flight brought 369 pilgrims back from Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Airlines flight ‘SV-3803’ landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:54 AM.

The pilgrims were welcomed with state honors at the airport. Air Vice Marshal Md. Manzur Kabir Bhuiyan, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), greeted the pilgrims with flowers at the boarding bridge. According to CAAB, over 2,500 more pilgrims are expected to return on seven additional flights on Tuesday. The return Hajj flights will continue until July 11.
This year, a total of 85,302 Bangladeshi pilgrims traveled to Saudi Arabia for Hajj. The first Hajj flight departed from Dhaka on April 29, with the final flight leaving on June 1. A total of 220 flights transported the pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. Upon their return, the pilgrims expressed gratitude to the governments of Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia for the well-organized Hajj arrangements.
