Bangladesh Condemns Israel’s Attack on Iran, Expresses Deep Concern

Dhaka, June 13, 2025 : Bangladesh has strongly condemned and expressed deep concern over the recent Israeli military attacks on Iran. The statement was issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday, June 13.

The statement described the Israeli military actions as a clear violation of the United Nations Charter, fundamental principles of international law, and Iran’s sovereignty. It highlighted that such hostile actions pose a serious threat to regional and global peace and security, with far-reaching consequences.
Bangladesh urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint and refrain from actions that could further escalate tensions in the already volatile Middle East. The country also called on the United Nations and the international community to work collectively to support a stable Middle East, emphasizing that diplomacy and mutual respect are the only effective paths to lasting peace.
According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, Israel conducted an attack on the Shahid Fakouri military base in Tabriz, northwestern Iran, around 12:30 PM on Friday. Earlier that day, another operation targeted Tehran and surrounding areas, resulting in the deaths of senior Iranian military officials, including six nuclear scientists. Israel claimed that its “Rising Lion” operation damaged nuclear research facilities, military bases, drone, and missile sites.
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, vowed to take “harsh revenge” for the attacks.
