Chief Adviser Meets Chief Election Commissioner and Religious Affairs Ministry Representatives

 


Chief Adviser of the interim government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, held a courtesy meeting with Chief Election Commissioner A M M Nasir Uddin on Thursday (June 26) afternoon at the state guest house Yamuna. Prior to this, Senior Secretary of the Election Commission, Akhtar Ahmed, informed that a proposal to amend the voter list law to determine who will be included in the voter list has been sent to the Law Ministry. He also mentioned that a review is underway to redraw the boundaries of 76 constituencies.
On the same day, the Chief Adviser held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Religious Affairs at the state guest house Yamuna. During the meeting, he commended the Ministry and relevant stakeholders for successfully managing this year’s Hajj arrangements. Additionally, he instructed the Ministry to begin preparations now to ensure a smooth Hajj management process for the upcoming year.
