Chattogram's Chandgaon Thana, Bakalia Rahattarpul area, police have arrested Md. Jasim (47) for allegedly killing his younger brother Morshed Alam by stabbing him due to a family dispute. The incident occurred on Thursday (5 June), and Jasim was apprehended on Saturday (7 June) at 11:20 AM during a police operation in Cox’s Bazar Sadar Thana area.
According to Md. Aftab Uddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandgaon Thana, a verbal altercation over family matters escalated between Jasim and Morshed. In a fit of rage, Jasim stabbed his younger brother. Morshed was rushed to the hospital by family members but succumbed to his injuries. Jasim fled the scene after the incident but was later arrested in Cox’s Bazar.
Jasim, son of Md. Rafique, is a resident of the Rahattarpul Big Graveyard area. The police are continuing their investigation into the case.
