Dhaka, June 24, 2025: The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations for 2025 are set to commence on Thursday, June 26. To ensure a fair, orderly, and cheating-free examination environment, the Ministry of Education has decided to keep all coaching centers across the country closed until August 15, aiming to curb rumors of question paper leaks and maintain overall control of the examination process.
A notification in this regard was issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education on Tuesday, June 24. The decision was finalized during a recent meeting focused on organizing the HSC and equivalent exams in a disciplined and transparent manner.
This year, a total of 1,251,111 candidates will participate in the HSC and equivalent examinations. Of these, 618,015 are male students, and 633,096 are female students. Compared to last year, when 1,332,993 candidates appeared for the exams, the number of examinees has decreased by 81,882 this year.
The Ministry of Education has emphasized strict measures to ensure the integrity of the examination process, urging all stakeholders to cooperate in maintaining a conducive environment for the students.
