Tehran, June 20, 2025: Israeli forces launched extensive overnight airstrikes on multiple targets in Iran, deploying over 60 warplanes, according to a report by Al Jazeera on Friday morning. The Israeli military confirmed that the operation targeted several sites in Tehran, dropping approximately 120 heavy bombs.
The Israeli army stated that the strikes focused on missile production facilities and other industrial sites in the Iranian capital, claiming the attacks were successful. Over the past few days, Israeli airstrikes across Iran have reportedly resulted in hundreds of deaths, with human rights groups estimating over 600 fatalities. However, Iranian authorities have provided inconsistent updates, officially reporting just over 200 deaths.
In response, Iran has continued its counterattacks. On Friday, the Israeli military reported intercepting an Iranian missile. Shortly after, emergency services in Israel received reports of fires in Beersheba. According to a video released by Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency service, multiple fires were observed along a street in the southern city, near a tech park and a Microsoft office.
The escalating conflict has heightened tensions, with both sides continuing military operations.
