Shefali Jariwala’s Sudden Demise: Was Anti-Aging Treatment a Factor?

Bollywood is reeling under shock and grief following the sudden death of actress Shefali Jariwala, famously known as the ‘Kaanta Laga Girl.’ The actress passed away unexpectedly late Friday night at her Mumbai residence. Her husband, Parag, rushed her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital, but she was declared dead by doctors at around 11:15 PM. Preliminary reports from Mumbai Police suggest a cardiac arrest as the cause of death, though confirmation awaits the forensic report.

According to sources close to Shefali, she had been undergoing anti-aging treatments for the past five to six years. These treatments, aimed at enhancing skin radiance and reducing visible signs of aging, included regular injections of Vitamin C and glutathione. Glutathione is commonly used for skin brightening and detoxification. However, medical experts have stated that there is no scientific evidence linking these injections directly to heart-related issues. The exact cause of her death will only be confirmed after the forensic report.

Shefali rose to fame overnight with the 2002 viral music video *Kaanta Laga*. She later appeared in the film *Mujhse Shaadi Karogi* and participated in reality shows like *Nach Baliye* with her husband Parag and *Bigg Boss 13*, cementing her place in the public eye. Her sudden passing has left a void in Bollywood, with fans and colleagues mourning her loss.
