Singapore’s 42-Member Contingent Arrives in Bangladesh Tonight for Asian Cup Qualifiers

Sports Desk, l June 7, 2025 : A 42-member contingent from Singapore, including their national football team, is set to arrive in Bangladesh tonight around 10:30 PM, according to sources from the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). The team will face hosts Bangladesh in an Asian Cup Qualifier match scheduled for June 10 in Dhaka.
The Singapore squad consists of 23 players, with the remaining 19 comprising technical staff and officials. In international tournaments, it is common for national teams, especially from South Asian countries, to travel with contingents of 30-32 members, including coaching staff and officials. However, Singapore’s larger delegation reflects their emphasis on technical support.
Ahead of the team’s arrival, Singapore’s manager has already reached Dhaka to inspect training and match venues on Saturday, June 7. The BFF will provide logistical support, including transportation, but will not bear the expenses of the visiting team. Singapore’s squad will be staying at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel.
Unlike Bangladesh, which faced challenges with training facilities after arriving five days early in Shillong, India, for their first qualifier match, Singapore has adhered to international norms by arriving just over 48 hours before the game. The team is scheduled to train at the Armed Police Battalion ground in Uttara on Sunday, June 8, and will have access to the match venue for practice the following day.
