Trump Issues Stern Warning to Iran Following Israel’s Deadly Strikes

Internatinal Desk : Israel launched a series of devastating attacks on Iran’s capital, Tehran, and various military and nuclear facilities on Friday, June 13, 2025, killing over 70 people, including key military and nuclear scientists. In response, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Iran, urging it to return to nuclear negotiations to avoid further escalation.

According to Al Jazeera, Israel’s operation, dubbed “Operation Rising Lion,” targeted critical sites, including Tehran, Natanz, Tabriz, and Isfahan, in five waves of strikes. The attacks aimed to cripple Iran’s nuclear program and military capabilities, with significant damage reported to uranium enrichment centers and military bases.
In a statement on Truth Social, Trump said, “I’ve given Iran chance after chance, but they haven’t acted. The time for bloodshed is over. Iran must come to the nuclear deal table now, or the next attacks will be even more severe.” He added, “Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb. If they want to preserve the legacy of the Persian Empire, they must act before it’s too late.”
Among the casualties were Iran’s armed forces chief, Mohammad Bagheri, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander, Hossein Salami, and six prominent nuclear scientists, including Fereydoun Abbasi and Mohammad Mahdi Tehranchi. Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, condemned the attacks, accusing Israel of targeting civilian areas and promising “harsh punishment” for what he called a “barbaric act.” Iran has threatened retaliatory strikes on Israel’s secret nuclear facilities and military bases.
The strikes have escalated tensions in the Middle East, with fears of a broader regional conflict growing. The international community is closely monitoring the situation and calling for measures to prevent further escalation. While the U.S. has denied direct involvement in the attacks, it has pledged defensive support to Israel in case of retaliatory strikes by Iran.
This unprecedented escalation follows a history of covert tensions between Iran and Israel, with the latter viewing Iran’s nuclear ambitions as a direct threat. The situation remains volatile as both sides brace for potential further conflict.
