In an attempt to seize control of a jute business, miscreants set fire to a truck carrying jute in Ashulia, Dhaka. The incident occurred on Monday, July 21, 2025, around noon in front of Unicorn Sweater Limited in the Gorat Navana area of Ashulia.
Eyewitnesses reported that Zakir Hossain, the proprietor of Al Adar, has been operating a jute business by dyeing at The Rose Garments in the Jamgora Battala area. During the noon hours, while a truck was transporting jute, a group of miscreants intercepted the vehicle and set it ablaze. The attackers fled after igniting the fire, which burned the jute sacks. The truck was also vandalized, and the driver, Anis, was assaulted.
