Bangladesh and Malaysia Police Hold Meeting to Enhance Cooperation

A bilateral meeting was held between Bangladesh Police and the Royal Malaysia Police to strengthen cooperation in combating transnational crimes and other areas of mutual interest. The meeting took place on Wednesday (July 30) morning at the Hall of Pride, Police Headquarters in Dhaka.

The Bangladesh Police delegation was led by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam, BPM, while the Royal Malaysia Police delegation was headed by Azman bin Abd. Razak, Chief of the Counter-Terrorism Unit. The Malaysian delegation consisted of seven members.

The IGP welcomed the Malaysian delegation, highlighting the cordial and friendly relations between Bangladesh and Malaysia. During the meeting, discussions focused on issues such as terrorism, human trafficking, money laundering, and other matters of mutual interest. Both sides expressed their commitment to enhancing cooperation through timely information exchange.
The meeting was attended by notable officials, including Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) AKM Shahidur Rahman, BPM, PPM; Additional IGP of Special Branch Md. Golam Rasul; Additional IGP (Crime and Operations) of Police Headquarters Khondakar Rafiqul Islam, BPM, PPM; and other senior police officers.
