The Advisory Council has given final approval to the draft of the "Voter List (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025." This ordinance allows eligible citizens to register as voters until the announcement of the election schedule.
The draft was approved during the Advisory Council meeting on Thursday. Later, at a press conference held at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital, the Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam and Senior Assistant Press Secretary Foyez Ahmad announced the decisions of the meeting.
Currently, individuals who reach the age of 18 by December each year can be included in the voter list in the following January.
