Law Advisor Faces Students' Ire at Milestone School and College

In the wake of a Bangladesh Air Force training fighter jet crash at the Milestone School and College campus in Uttara, Dhaka, Law Advisor Asif Nazrul and Education Advisor C R Abrar visited the site on Monday morning (July 22). However, their visit was met with strong protests from students, who chanted "Fake, fake" slogans, expressing their discontent.

According to on-site reports, the advisors arrived at the campus around 10:30 AM to inspect the crash site. As they were leaving around 10:45 AM, students began shouting "Fake, fake" from behind. The situation escalated as students surrounded the advisors, particularly targeting Asif Nazrul. Attempting to engage, Asif Nazrul spoke briefly with a few students at the edge of the campus field before heading toward the college’s Building No. 5. Despite this, the students continued their chants.

Asif Nazrul, accompanied by teachers, entered a conference room on the ground floor of Building No. 5, adjacent to the vice-principal’s office. A small group of 5-7 student representatives was later brought into the room for discussions. Meanwhile, hundreds of students continued their protests outside, filling the college grounds.

As news spread that the advisors were inside the college building, thousands of students entered the campus, surrounding the field and Building No. 5, intensifying the demonstration.
