According to the press release, the Advisory Council held its regular meeting on Thursday morning at the Chief Adviser’s Office. The meeting began with the adoption of a condolence motion in memory of those killed in the plane crash at Milestone School and College. A minute of silence was observed to honor the deceased, followed by prayers for the eternal peace of their souls.
The press release further stated that the government has decided to provide all necessary assistance to the families of the victims and to ensure medical care for those injured in the tragic incident. To this end, the Ministry of Education will coordinate with the school authorities to determine the next steps. Additionally, the Advisory Council decided to confer state honors on the two teachers who lost their lives in the crash. The details of this recognition will be finalized promptly.
The Press Wing also announced that special prayers will be held on Friday at all religious institutions across the country to pray for the souls of the deceased and the recovery of the injured. The Ministry of Religious Affairs will coordinate these efforts.
