Plane Crash in Capital’s Uttara, BGB and Army Deployed for Rescue**

A Bangladesh Army training aircraft crashed in the Uttara area of the capital, prompting fears of significant casualties. However, Fire Service officials have so far confirmed only one fatality.

The incident occurred after 1:00 PM today at the main campus of Milestone College in the Diabari area of Uttara. The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has deployed two platoons to assist in rescue operations and maintain law and order, according to a BGB statement.

The Fire Service reported that eight units from Uttara, Tongi, Pallabi, Kurmitola, Mirpur, and Purbachal fire stations are currently engaged in rescue efforts at the crash site. While there are concerns of multiple casualties, only one death has been confirmed by Fire Service officials so far. Initial reports suggested the pilot had died, but later clarifications confirmed the pilot is alive.
