Following the crash, parents rushed to the school, with many seen crying and calling out their children’s names outside the school gate. **100 to 150 Students Were in the Affected Building** Nabila, a student from the college section, recounted, “There was a deafening sound, and the children in the class started screaming in fear. We couldn’t understand what was happening. Smoke was visible from the windows. Some students ran downstairs, but the younger children were still inside and couldn’t get out.” Farzana Haque, a parent, said, “Suddenly, there was a loud noise. I looked and saw smoke rising. There was fire and smoke right next to the school. I saw the children crying.” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Uttara Division, Dhaka Metropolitan Police) Mahidul Islam stated that security was immediately heightened in the area.
