Massive Fire Breaks Out at Karnaphuli EPZ, Eight Units Deployed to Control Blaze

A massive fire broke out in a building at the Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Patenga, Chattogram. The fire, which started around 2:55 PM on Friday, July 11, has reportedly spread to nearby buildings, including areas around the Aero Favorite office.

According to the Chattogram Control Room of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, eight fire units are actively working to bring the blaze under control. The fire originated at a factory named Jant Accessories within the Karnaphuli EPZ. The Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA) stated that the factory was closed on Friday, and no workers were present at the time of the incident. Authorities have confirmed that no casualties or injuries have been reported as a result of the fire.
