NCP Leaders Arrive in Rajbari for July March


Leaders of the National Citizen Party (NCP) arrived in Rajbari to celebrate the anniversary of the 2024 mass uprising and as part of their nationwide "July March to Build the Nation" program.

On Thursday (July 17), the NCP central leaders reached Rajbari town’s Baropul intersection around 5 PM. They were warmly received by the district’s party leaders. Following their arrival, they participated in a march from Baropul intersection to the Shaheed Smriti Chattar at Railgate No. 1, where a rally was held.

Earlier, the NCP leaders departed from Faridpur and arrived at Kalyanpur in Rajbari Sadar Upazila around 4 PM, where they had lunch. To prevent any untoward incidents and maintain law and order during the NCP’s march, multi-layered security measures have been implemented in the district. Alongside uniformed police, plainclothes officers and the Detective Branch (DB) are actively monitoring the situation. Additionally, traffic police are working to manage congestion in the town. The march was attended by key NCP figures, including Convener Nahid Islam, Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, Southern Region Chief Organizer Hasnat Abdullah, Northern Region Chief Organizer Sarjis Alam, Chief Coordinator Nasir Uddin Patwary, Senior Joint Chief Coordinator Abdul Hannan Masud, Senior Joint Convener Samanta Sharmin, Senior Joint Member Secretary Dr. Tasneem Zara, Dr. Tajnuva Jabin, Southern Region Organizer Md. Ataullah, and Central Committee Member Saiyed Jamils, along with other central, divisional, district, and upazila leaders.
Notably, the NCP has been observing the "July March to Build the Nation" program since July 1, covering several districts across the country. As part of this month-long initiative, the party organized today’s march in Rajbari. Prior to this, NCP leaders began a march in Faridpur from the Circuit House to Janata Bank intersection, where they held a street rally.
