Police Vehicle Set on Fire During NCP March in Gopalganj


In Gopalganj, a police vehicle was attacked and set on fire during a march organized by the National Citizen Party (NCP). The incident occurred on Wednesday morning around 9:30 AM in the Khatigara Charpara area along the Ulpur-Durgapur road in Sadar Upazila.

Three police personnel were injured in the attack. They are identified as Inspector Ahmed Bishwas from the Gopinathpur Police Outpost, and Constables Kaosar and Minhaz. The injured officers have been admitted to the Gopalganj 250-Bed General Hospital for treatment. Gopalganj Police Superintendent Mizanur Rahman confirmed the incident.

Superintendent Mizanur Rahman stated, “We do not yet know who was responsible for this incident. Three police officers were injured, and one vehicle was set ablaze. The injured officers have been admitted to the hospital and are receiving treatment.”

The NCP has been conducting a month-long program titled “July March to Build the Nation” since July 1, with marches held in several districts across the country. As part of this initiative, the party organized the march in Gopalganj today.
