Dhaka, July 23, 2025: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, in a meeting with leaders of 13 political parties and alliances, stated that signs of conspiracies by defeated forces are becoming evident within just a year. He emphasized the need to make the unity of political parties against fascism more visible, warning that otherwise, these forces might see it as an opportunity. The meeting took place on Wednesday afternoon at the state guesthouse Jamuna, followed by a photo session with the leaders, according to the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing.In the meeting, Professor Yunus remarked, “On the first anniversary of the July uprising, our plan was to bring all political parties together to commemorate the past and organize programs for this purpose. This would have made our unity against fascism visible. However, within a year, signs of various conspiracies by defeated forces are emerging.”
According to the Press Wing’s statement, all participating parties expressed support for maintaining political and public unity against fascism. They urged the Chief Adviser to take stricter measures to maintain law and order. The leaders also extended full support for reforms, justice, and the electoral process, requesting regular all-party meetings to prepare for elections and counter fascism.
The meeting was attended by leaders including Syed Hasibuddin Hossain of Rashtra Sanskar Andolon, Zonaid Saki of Gono Songhoti Andolon, Mojibur Rahman of AB Party, Shahidullah Kaiser of Nagorik Oikya, Nurul Haque of Gono Odhikar Parishad, Redwan Ahmed of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Ahmad Abdul Quader of Khelafat Majlis, Saiful Haque of Biplobi Workers Party, Tania Rob of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), Shahadat Hossain Selim of the 12-Party Alliance, Bazlur Rashid Firoz of Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (BASD), Ruhin Hossain Prince of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), and Mizanur Rahman of Gono Forum.
