In a tragic incident on June 4, 2025, during celebrations of Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) first IPL title win, a stampede outside Chinnaswamy Stadium claimed the lives of 11 fans. Today, the RCB franchise announced financial assistance of ₹25 lakh for the families of each of the deceased supporters.
The announcement was made via RCB’s official X and Instagram handles, stating, “On June 4, 2025, our hearts were shattered. We lost 11 members of the RCB family. They were part of us, part of this team, this city, and the community that makes us unique. Their absence will forever echo in our memories. No amount of financial aid can fill this void, but as a first step and a gesture of heartfelt respect, RCB will provide ₹25 lakh to each of their families. This is not just financial assistance but a promise of empathy and unity.”
