Students returned to classes in uniform on August 6, 2025, at Milestone School and College in Diabari, Uttara, Dhaka, marking the resumption of academic activities 15 days after a tragic fighter jet crash.
On Wednesday morning, students from the college section (grades 9 to 12) arrived at the campus, and regular classes commenced at 8:30 AM, according to Shah Bulbul, the Public Relations Officer of Milestone School and College.
Previously, on Sunday, August 3, students from the college section had returned to the campus but did not attend classes. Instead, they participated in a prayer and memorial ceremony organized to honor those who lost their lives in the jet crash and to pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. After exchanging greetings, the students returned home.
On July 21, 2025, a Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet crashed into the Milestone School and College campus in Diabari, Uttara, resulting in the deaths of 34 individuals, including children. Many others, injured in the incident, are still receiving treatment in hospitals
