Fire Breaks Out in Mohakhali Slum: Controlled by Five Fire Service Units

A fire broke out in the Sattala slum of Mohakhali in the capital city. Upon receiving the news, five units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence reached the scene and brought the fire under control.

On Wednesday (August 20), the fire was controlled by 3:18 PM, as confirmed by Anwarul Islam Dolon, an officer of the Fire Service Headquarters Media Cell.

According to sources at the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters, the fire was reported at 2:37 PM. Three units from Tejgaon Fire Station and two units from Kurmitola Fire Station, totaling five units, were dispatched to the site. Fire service personnel arrived at the scene by 3:00 PM and began efforts to extinguish the fire. After approximately 18 minutes of effort, the fire was brought under control by 3:18 PM.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be determined.
