Iran Claims to Have Built Weapons Factories in Multiple Undisclosed Countries

Iran’s Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh has claimed that Iran has established weapons factories in several countries worldwide but did not disclose their specific locations. He revealed this information during a television interview with the Young Journalists Club on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

Nasirzadeh emphasized that Iran has consistently prioritized “missile development.” However, he noted that this focus might shift following the recent conflict with Israel. He added that the countries hosting these factories would be revealed in the near future.

In June, Israel launched unprovoked attacks on Iran, prompting Iran to retaliate. The conflict between the two nations lasted 13 days. During this period, the United States also targeted several of Iran’s nuclear facilities. Although the Iran-Israel conflict has ceased, tensions remain high, with both sides continuing to exchange threats.
Iran reportedly supports groups such as Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, Kata’ib Hezbollah in Iraq, and Houthi rebels in Yemen to counter Israel. Israel has long claimed that Iran operates weapons factories in these regions. Additionally, during the regime of former Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, Iran allegedly maintained weapons manufacturing facilities in Syria. However, after Assad’s ousting, Israel reportedly destroyed most of these facilities.
