During the reception, Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus was accorded a red carpet welcome and a Guard of Honor.

He stated that Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Monday at 7:50 PM local time via a Bangladesh Airlines flight for the three-day state visit.
Prior to that, the aircraft carrying the Chief Advisor and his entourage departed from Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 2 PM.
Regarding the Chief Advisor's visit to Malaysia, Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam informed journalists on Sunday (August 10) that issues related to immigration and investment will receive priority during this trip.
He mentioned that a business conference is scheduled for August 12. Subsequently, on August 13, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) will confer an honorary doctorate degree upon the Chief Advisor.
Dr. Yunus is set to hold a bilateral meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Putrajaya on August 12. Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between the two countries.
There is potential for signing a total of five MoUs and three Notes of Exchange during the visit. Additionally, Dr. Yunus is expected to participate in an interaction session with expatriate Bangladeshis.
A high-level delegation accompanies the Chief Advisor on this visit. The delegation includes: Foreign Affairs Advisor Md. Touhid Hossain, Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Advisor Dr. Asif Nazrul, Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry Advisor Fawzul Kabir Khan, National Security Advisor Dr. Khalilur Rahman, Chief Advisor's Special Envoy for International Affairs Lutfe Siddiqui, and Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun.
The Chief Advisor is scheduled to return to the country on August 13.
