Minneapolis School Shooting Leaves Three Dead, Including Gunman

In a tragic incident, a shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Wednesday morning claimed the lives of three people, including the gunman. At least 20 others were injured, according to an official from the U.S. Justice Department, as reported by the BBC.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz described the incident as horrific in a social media post, stating that children and teachers are terrified by such violence in schools. "We are praying for them," he added.

Immediately after the shooting, police, FBI, and federal agents surrounded the school. Ambulances were dispatched, and authorities began evacuating students, according to local officials. The incident occurred at Annunciation School, located in a residential area in southeast Minneapolis. Established in 1923, the school had scheduled a prayer service for all students at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, which marked the second day of the new academic year. U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the tragedy on Truth Social, stating that he has been briefed on the shooting. The White House is closely monitoring the situation.
This shooting comes just a day after another violent incident outside a Minneapolis school, where one person was killed and six others were injured. On the same day, two additional deaths were reported in separate incidents in the city, fueling fear and panic among local residents.
