Muslim Youth Brutally Attacked by Hindu Extremists in India

In shocking incident in Barla village, Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, India, a Muslim youth named Fardin was brutally assaulted by Hindu extremists. He is currently battling for his life in a hospital due to severe injuries sustained in the attack.

The incident occurred on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Fardin reported that a group of over ten individuals attacked him with sharp weapons, targeting him due to his religious identity and hurling derogatory slurs such as “katua,” a term used to demean Muslims. Local residents described the attack as sudden and premeditated, leaving Fardin critically injured. Passersby rescued him and rushed him to a hospital, where doctors have reported his condition as extremely serious. The incident has sparked fear and outrage in the village. Locals have demanded swift police action and administrative intervention to curb communal violence. However, despite the severity of the attack, neither the Barla police nor the Muzaffarnagar district police have issued any official response, leading to accusations of negligence and indifference from the community. Community leaders and human rights activists have strongly condemned the attack, calling it a clear example of religiously motivated violence. They have urged law enforcement to immediately file a case, identify and arrest the perpetrators, and ensure justice for the victim. Activists further warned that Uttar Pradesh has witnessed a rise in mob violence against minorities in recent years, fueled by religious identity. The inaction of the police, they claim, emboldens attackers and heightens insecurity among minority communities.
