The National Citizen Party (NCP) has unveiled a 24-point manifesto for a “New Bangladesh” during a rally at the Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka on Sunday, August 3, 2025. The manifesto was announced by NCP Convener Nahid Islam.
Addressing the gathering, Nahid Islam said, “Today, we stand before you at the Shaheed Minar to declare the 24-point manifesto for our Second Republic, envisioning a new Bangladesh.”

11. Research, innovation, and technological revolution
12. Respect for religion, race, community, and ethnic identity
13. Women’s safety, rights, and empowerment
14. Human-centric and welfare-oriented economy
15. Youth and employment opportunities
16. Diversified trade and industrialization policies
17. Sustainable agriculture and food sovereignty
18. Rights of workers and farmers
19. Management of national resources
20. Urbanization, transportation, and housing planning
21. Climate resilience and protection of rivers and seas
22. Dignity and rights of expatriate Bangladeshis
23. Bangladesh-centric foreign policy
24. National defense strategy
Concluding the announcement, Nahid Islam stated, “Exactly one year ago, we took an oath at this very Shaheed Minar to free this country from autocratic rule. Thanks to your response, we defeated fascist rule together and reclaimed our authority over the nation. Today, from this Shaheed Minar, we call upon you again—let us unite to transform these historic 24 points into reality and build a new Bangladesh that fulfills the dreams of all citizens.”
