Visa recently recognized 17 institutions for their significant contributions to Bangladesh’s financial sector during the “Leadership Conclave Bangladesh” event held at a prominent hotel in the capital. The event, organized by Visa, a global leader in digital payments, celebrated the achievements of various organizations in the financial industry.
According to a press release from Visa, representatives from over 60 organizations, including banks, mobile financial service providers (MFS), fintech companies, government agencies, international development organizations, agritech firms, diplomatic missions, aviation, e-commerce, and retail sectors, attended the event. The chief guest was Bangladesh Bank Governor Ahsan H. Mansur. Visa’s Country Manager for Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan, Sabbir Ahmed, and Head of Product for India and South Asia, Ramakrishnan Gopalan, delivered welcome speeches. Sandeep Ghosh, Group Country Manager for India and South Asia at Visa, also addressed the gathering.
