Nasum Ahmed Strikes Twice in Two Balls in Second T20I Against Netherlands

The Netherlands face a daunting challenge to avoid a series defeat as they take on Bangladesh in the second T20I. After losing the toss and being sent in to bat, the Dutch managed 14 runs in the first two overs bowled by Mehidy Hasan and Taskin Ahmed.

Nasum Ahmed, the left-arm spinner, provided an early breakthrough in the third over. On his second ball, he dismissed Max O’Dowd, caught by Towhid Hridoy, and followed it up by removing Teja Nidamanuru on the next ball, caught by Parvez Hossain. Dutch captain Scott Edwards prevented Nasum from claiming a hat-trick. Taskin Ahmed then struck, removing opener Vikramjit Singh, who scored 24 runs off 17 balls, including four boundaries, before being caught out with the team’s score at 37. The match is being played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, where Bangladesh captain Liton Kumar Das won the toss and elected to field. Bangladesh made two changes to their playing XI from the first match, resting leg-spinner Rishad Hossain and left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam. They brought in left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed and right-arm pacer Tanzim Hasan. The Netherlands made one change, replacing Tim Pringle with Sikandar Zulfiqar. Ahead of their Asia Cup campaign in Dubai, Bangladesh aim to fine-tune their preparations with this series, determined to leave no stone unturned in their quest to become a formidable side. **Bangladesh XI**: Parvez Hossain Emon, Tanzid Hasan, Liton Das, Saif Hassan, Towhid Hridoy, Zaker Ali, Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Sakib.
