In Barguna, police recovered the body of a woman with her throat slit from a residential house. In the same house, the body of her husband was found hanging. Their two children were found unharmed and rescued during the incident.
The incident took place on Sunday morning in Mollabari, Dakshin Itbaria village, under the Ayla Patakata Union of Barguna Sadar Upazila. The deceased have been identified as Aklima (27) and her husband, Swapan Molla (32). Their two daughters, aged five and one, were present at the scene.
OC Yakub Hosain further stated that teams from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) are collecting evidence at the scene. Further details will be revealed after the autopsy and investigation are completed.
