Yemeni Drone Attack on Ramon Airport Sparks Panic in Israel

A drone attack launched from Yemen struck Ramon International Airport near Eilat in southern Israel, causing widespread panic and halting all flights, according to local media in the occupied Palestinian territories.

On Sunday, September 7, 2025, the Palestinian Shahab News Agency reported, citing Israeli media, that a Yemeni drone targeted the passenger terminal at Ramon Airport, located in the Negev Desert. The attack led to the suspension of all flights at the airport and triggered alarm among Israelis.

Social media users in Israel shared images showing plumes of smoke rising from the airport area following the attack. Several Israeli sources also reported injuries resulting from the strike. Israel’s Channel 14 stated that members of the occupying government’s fire services rushed to the scene after the attack. An Israeli Air Force spokesperson confirmed that all flights at Ramon Airport were suspended due to the incident. Israeli media, citing military sources, reported that the Yemeni drone specifically targeted the airport’s passenger terminal, with at least two people injured in the attack. The Israeli daily *Israel Hayom* noted that the passenger terminal was the primary target of the assault.
As of now, no official statement has been issued by Yemeni authorities regarding the attack.
