GM Quader, Chairman of the Jatiya Party (JaPa), has alleged that conspiracies are underway to keep JaPa away from politics. Speaking at an extended meeting at the party's office in Banani, Dhaka, on Saturday (April 19), he claimed that JaPa is being obstructed from carrying out its programs. He urged party activists to remain active in the field, stating that under no circumstances should they leave the ground. If necessary, he said, they would all go to jail together.
Expressing concern over the country's economic situation, GM Quader said that the economy is in a dire state and will worsen in the future. He pointed out that the government lacks sufficient funds to run the state effectively. He emphasized the need for participatory elections, warning that without them, future governments would face the same fate as the current one.
He further alleged that some individuals are spreading propaganda and tarnishing the image of the Jatiya Party. He stressed that now is the time to clear the party's name. He assured that opportunists would not lead the party and that only those who can work at the grassroots level will shape its future.
