Technical students have announced a nationwide grand rally to press for their six-point demands. The rally will take place tomorrow (Sunday).
On Saturday, following a human chain program titled ‘Rise in Red,’ Jobaer Patwari, a representative of the Technical Student Movement and a student of Dhaka Polytechnic Institute, declared the rally.
In protest against alleged attacks during the Cumilla program, students held placards and formed human chains in front of their respective institutions. At 11:45 AM, students gathered in front of Dhaka Polytechnic Institute’s main gate in Tejgaon, Dhaka.
During the demonstration, students chanted slogans such as “Blood is on fire,” “Abu Sayeed Mugdha, the battle is not over,” “The tool to build the nation, rise once again,” and “Why the attack in Cumilla? We demand answers.”
On Friday, students marched with funeral shrouds tied to their heads. In a briefing, Jobaer Patwari stated, “Authorities must accept our demands immediately, and we will leave the streets. Ensure proper investigation and justice for the attack on our brothers in Cumilla.”
