In a nationwide special operation conducted by the police on Thursday, April 24, a total of 1,642 individuals were arrested across the country. According to a press release issued by the Police Headquarters on Friday, April 25, the operation resulted in the apprehension of 1,072 suspects wanted in various cases and warrants, while an additional 570 individuals were arrested in connection with other incidents.
During the operation, law enforcement recovered a range of weapons and items, including one pistol, one single-barrel gun, five pipe guns, two one-shooter guns, one magazine, four rounds of bullets, four rounds of cartridges, five Chinese axes, one ramda (large knife), three da (machetes), one kirich (cleaver), three knives, one pair of scissors, one hammer, one stick, three rods, one kucha (small sickle), and one sulfi (sharp tool).
The operation underscores the police's ongoing efforts to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities across the count.
