Negligence in SSC Exam Center Leads to Dismissal of Seven Teachers in Savar

Dhaka: seven invigilators and the center secretary have been dismissed due to negligence during the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination at Savar High School for Girls. Allegations include carrying Android phones into the examination hall and failing to fulfill their duties responsibly.

On Monday, April 21, during the math examination, assistant teachers Enam Ahmed and Tamal Hossain brought Android phones into the hall, leading to their immediate dismissal. 

Additionally, Al Mahmud from Begunbari High School, Kamrun Nahar Rumi from Gopalbari Nabon Progoti School and College, Md. Imran Hossain from Badda High School and College, and Nupur Mallik and Rashida Begum from Vakurta Union School and College were also relieved of their duties for negligence.

An administrative order further dismissed Center Secretary SM Rafiquzzaman from his position, appointing Monowara Akter as the new center secretary.

Savar Upazila Secondary Education Officer Liakat Ali confirmed the dismissals were due to severe negligence during exam duties.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abu Bakr Sarkar remarked that teachers were found supporting malpractice during examinations. Consequently, the center secretary was also relieved from his responsibilities.
