In the post, the army stated that a vested interest group has recently published a fake press release using the logo of the Bangladesh Armed Forces. The release aims to create confusion among the public and foster discord between the armed forces and the people.
The army urged citizens to remain vigilant, stating, “Do not pay heed to rumors, do not be misled. Verify the truth, stay aware.” The post also included an image of the fake press release to help the public identify it.
Additionally, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) recently disclosed the identities of individuals who sought refuge in military cantonments. Meanwhile, a ban on public gatherings and assemblies has been imposed in several key locations in Dhaka.
The Bangladesh Army has reiterated its call for the public to verify information and remain cautious to avoid falling prey to misinformation.
