Over 1,137 Arrested in Nationwide Special Police Operation in 24 Hours

Dhaka, May 1, 2025 : In a 24-hour special operation conducted across Bangladesh, police arrested a total of 1,137 individuals, including 669 wanted in connection with cases and warrants, and 468 others for various incidents.  

According to Inamul Haq Sagar, Assistant Inspector General (Media and PR) of Police Headquarters, the operation targeted criminals and fugitives nationwide. During the raids, law enforcement seized one pistol, one locally-made LG firearm, one bullet, one bullet casing, five rounds of cartridges, five shisha bullets, and one Burmese knife.
The AIG confirmed that such special operations will continue to maintain law and order across the country.
