Iran Launches Fifth Phase of Missile Attacks on Israel

On Saturday morning, June 14, 2025, Iran launched its fifth phase of missile attacks targeting Israel, according to international media citing Iranian sources. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) successfully intercepted drones launched from Iran over the Dead Sea and southern West Bank, where warning sirens were activated. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.

The Israeli military stated, “We are continuing to strike and defend as necessary to eliminate threats.” Prior to this, Iran had conducted four rounds of missile attacks on Israel, resulting in at least four fatalities and over 70 injuries. Among the deceased were two individuals in central Israel, whose bodies were recovered from the rubble. Concerns remain about a two-month-old infant possibly trapped under debris.
Significant damage was reported in Tehran and Ramat Gan due to Iran’s missile strikes. On Saturday morning, rocket attack sirens sounded in northern Israel, including Kiryat Shmona, Metulla, and Gaza, though the Israeli military has yet to provide further details.
In response to Israeli strikes, a fire broke out at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport. Iran’s Fars News Agency claimed two missiles struck the airport, and explosions were heard across Tehran. Since Friday evening, Iran has reportedly launched over 150 missiles toward Israel.
The attacks have escalated tensions in the Middle East, prompting international calls for restraint to prevent further conflict.
