At least two people have been killed and 63 injured in Iran’s missile attacks on Israel, according to Israel’s health service agency Magen David Adom and local broadcaster Channel 12.
Late Friday night, an Iranian missile struck a residential building in Rishon LeZion, central Israel, killing one person on the spot and injuring 20 others. The identity of the deceased remains unconfirmed. Hours earlier, another Iranian missile attack in Tel Aviv claimed the life of a woman.
On Saturday, Channel 12 reported that the number of injured has risen to 63, with at least two in critical condition. Additionally, over 400 Palestinians have been evacuated from various areas of Tel Aviv to safer locations.
In retaliation for Israeli airstrikes, Iran launched multiple missile attacks on Tel Aviv and other Israeli cities on Friday night. While Israel’s air defense system intercepted most of the missiles, a few managed to hit their targets. According to Israeli daily Haaretz, nine residential buildings in the city of Ramat Gan were destroyed in the attacks.
