Israeli Airstrike Kills Another Iranian Nuclear Scientist

Tehran, June 21, 2025: An Israeli Air Force (IAF) drone strike has claimed the life of another Iranian nuclear scientist, Esar Tabatabaei Kamsheh. The Sharif University in Tehran confirmed the incident in a statement on Saturday, noting that Kamsheh was a former student of the institution.

According to the statement, the attack targeted the apartment building in Tehran where Kamsheh resided, on Thursday. Both Kamsheh and his wife, Mansourieh Hajisalem, were killed in the strike. Images of the targeted apartment building have been shared on the social media platform X.
Since the IAF began airstrikes in Iran on June 13, several senior Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists have been killed. According to BBC reports, a total of 10 Iranian nuclear scientists, including Kamsheh, have been killed in the past eight days. The other scientists include Fereydoun Abbasi, head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, Abdolhamid Minouchehr, Ahmad Reza Zolfaghari, Amirhossein Feghhi, Akbar Motalebizadeh, Ali Bakai Karimi, Mansour Asgari, and Saeed Borji.
These attacks have further escalated tensions between Iran and Israel, raising concerns within the international community.
