Significant Progress in Gaza Ceasefire Talks, Trump Claims Iran’s Nuclear Facilities Destroyed

US President Donald Trump has become vocal about the Gaza situation following the Iran-Israel conflict, stating that significant progress has been made in ceasefire negotiations. This was reported by The Times of Israel on Wednesday, June 25.
Speaking at a NATO summit in the Netherlands, Trump said, “There has been significant progress toward a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.” Referring to US and Israeli strikes on Iran’s nuclear program, he added, “Because of these strikes, we will soon hear some good news. A ceasefire in Gaza is imminent.”
The report states that Trump rejected leaked intelligence reports claiming that the US and Israeli strikes only set back Iran’s nuclear program by a few months. “They actually know nothing,” Trump said. He claimed that the strikes completely destroyed three critical Iranian nuclear facilities, describing the attack as devastating. He further noted that the destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities has forced Tehran to agree to a ceasefire.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated, “The facilities Iran needed to build nuclear weapons have been destroyed. Everything under that mountain is in bad shape.” He added that Tehran’s nuclear program is now “significantly set back” compared to its previous status.
