Six Middle Eastern Countries Condemn Iran’s Missile Attack on Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base

On Monday, June 23, 2025, Iran launched six ballistic missiles targeting the U.S.-operated Al Udeid Air Base near Doha, Qatar, in retaliation for U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. The attack, which caused explosions heard across the Qatari capital, has heightened regional tensions, prompting strong reactions from six Middle Eastern nations: Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Lebanon, and Palestine.
Saudi Arabia denounced the attack as “unjustifiable and unacceptable,” labeling it a clear violation of international law and neighborly goodwill. Riyadh expressed solidarity with Qatar’s sovereignty and pledged support for any defensive measures.
Jordan condemned the strike as a direct breach of Qatar’s sovereignty and the UN Charter. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Dr. Sufian Al-Qudah warned that such actions threaten regional peace and urged an immediate halt to military operations in favor of dialogue.
The UAE described the attack as a blatant violation of Qatar’s airspace and the UN Charter, rejecting any threats to Qatar’s security. The UAE Foreign Ministry affirmed full support for measures to protect Qatar’s stability.
Bahrain strongly protested the attack, viewing it as an infringement of Qatar’s airspace and international law. The government reiterated its solidarity with Qatar and commitment to supporting its sovereignty.
Lebanon’s President Joseph Aoun called the attack an interference in a “brotherly nation’s sovereignty,” warning that it risks derailing ongoing talks and escalating conflict. He praised Qatar’s constructive role and expressed full solidarity.
Palestine condemned the strike as a clear violation of Qatar’s sovereignty, offering full support to Qatar’s government and calling for diplomatic dialogue to restore regional peace.

The attack has sparked fears of broader diplomatic and military instability in the Middle East. Analysts warn that Iran’s actions not only challenge Qatar but also threaten the Gulf’s security framework, potentially escalating regional tensions further.
