Dhaka, June 09, 2025: Former President Abdul Hamid has not been arrested as there is no warrant issued against him, stated Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury.

The Home Affairs Adviser explained, “There is no warrant against Abdul Hamid, which is why he has not been arrested. However, if allegations against him are proven, necessary actions will be taken in accordance with the law.”
While further details were not disclosed, the Adviser’s statement indicates that any future actions will be based on evidence and respect for the legal process.
