Malaysia Deports 123 Bangladeshis Among 198 Foreigners from Kuala Lumpur Airport

Malaysia has deported 198 foreign nationals, including 123 Bangladeshis, from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) for failing to meet immigration requirements.

The Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency denied entry to these individuals at KLIA Terminals 1 and 2.

Datuk Seri Mohammad Shuhaily Mohammad Zain, Director-General of the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency, stated that those barred from entry were deported under the “Not to Land” procedure.

According to a report by Malay Mail, on Thursday, local time, 128 individuals were detained at Terminal 1, including 123 Bangladeshis, two Pakistanis, two Indonesians, and one Syrian. At Terminal 2, 70 others were detained, comprising 51 Indonesians, 13 Indians, four Pakistanis, and two Vietnamese.

Shuhaily Mohammad Zain emphasized that such operations will continue to prevent Malaysia from being used as a transit hub for illegal entry.
